Meet your physical therapist

Dr. Karina Ortiz PT, DPT

PELVIC HEALTH & ORTHOPEDIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Karina is the founder of The Latina Physio. She is a graduate of The University of Southern California, the number one physical therapy school in the nation. She was born in Napa, CA and was raised by immigrant parents that instilled in her a strong connection to her Mexican culture. As she progressed through her journey as a physical therapist, she recognized the lack of physical therapy education, primarily affecting Spanish speaking communities. As a result, she created The Latina Physio, a platform dedicated to fulfilling her mission of providing quality, patient-centered physical therapy education and services in Spanish and English.
During her time at USC, Karina grew passionate about treating patients with orthopedic impairments. She enjoyed helping patients recover from various injuries and procedures including low back pain, hip pain and joint replacements. It was also at USC where she completed a clinical rotation in Pelvic Health. During that experience, she realized that treating the pelvis was the missing link in helping patients recover from complex conditions.
Karina has always been passionate about treating underserved populations. Since becoming a physical therapist, she has dedicated her career to proudly serving today's military veterans. She has received grants to establish a pelvic health clinic at a local VA and has helped veterans heal from various pelvic floor dysfunctions. She is now proud to continue fulfilling her mission by expanding her services to help you. Whether you are experiencing symptoms affecting your pelvic health, orthopedic conditions, or want to receive preventative care, she is here to work with you to meet your goals. She is also available for speaking engagements or to provide workshops for your organization.
