Payment

We accept cash, check, debit card and credit card, including HSA and FSA payment, at time of service. Superbills can be made upon request to assist with reimbursement for out of network services.

Insurance

The Latina Physio is an out of network provider which means we do not contract with insurance companies. Patients are responsible for payment at time of service. The payments made may be reimbursable by your insurance company under your out of network physical therapy benefits. Upon your request, we can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for consideration of reimbursement to you. The exact percentage of reimbursement will be determined by your insurance plan. The Latina Physio does not make guarantees or estimates regarding what reimbursement your plan allows. It is the patient’s responsibility to contact their insurance company and submit for reimbursement. At this time, Medicare does not allow for out of network physical therapy services, so we are only able to provide wellness services to these patients.

benefits of out of network

Opting to provide physical therapy services out of network allows us to deliver the highest level of quality care without limitations set forth by insurance companies. Over the years, insurance companies have cut payments to physical therapy providers, leading to visit limits, decreased one-on-one time with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and limits on what body parts can be assessed and treated. We believe this model does not prioritize the needs of the patient. At the Latina Physio, a Doctor of Physical Therapy is able to see you for up to 75 minutes one-on-one to assess and treat all the contributors to your symptoms as necessary. We believe that the body works as a system and our treatment reflects that. We are able to set treatment plans based on your needs and not insurance limits. We believe that this model will help you get better faster so you can go back to doing what you love.

Direct Access Physical Therapy in California

You do not need a referral/prescription from your physician to be seen by a physical therapist for a period of 12 visits or 45 calendar days, whichever comes first. After this period, you may continue treatment after receiving a signature from your physician approving your plan of care. You may want to check with your insurance company to ensure they do not require a physician referral/prescription prior to the start of treatment for reimbursement.
